I’ll be honest with you: May is the best time to come here, and most people don’t know it yet.

El Torcal in full spring bloom. Fuente de Piedra’s flamingo colony at its nesting peak — 15,000 birds, 40 minutes from your bed. Caminito del Rey without the summer queues. Roads that aren’t full yet. Nice temperatures and wildflowers.

No particular reason to come in May is exactly the reason to come in May. Just Andalusia doing what it does when it’s not performing for tourists.
