About Archidona

Eight perspectives from the Plaza Ochavada (square) – A video from Canal Andalusia Turismo

Amidst landscapes of olive groves and meadows stands this beautiful town, at the foot of the Pico del Conjuro. Some travellers visit it for its beautiful scenery, others for its great historical capital. Whichever way you enter, the experience will be unforgettable. A town declared a Historic-Artistic Site for its Baroque urban and architectural heritage, the town is impregnated with the charm and contagious enthusiasm of its people in each of its buildings, squares and streets. Come and discover our beautiful city.

  • Use the latest technology in lighting, heating and cooling
  • Responsibly manage the environmental impact on our business
  • Reduce energy and water consumption through efficiency and best practices
  • Minimize waste and pollution
  • Comply with all applicable environmental regulations
  • Appropriately handle and minimize use of hazardous substances
  • Our bedding consists of linen that is 100% European Grown. This linen is produced naturally, without artificial irrigation and no genetically modified seeds or defoliants. It is produced in Europe following the European Flax® standard of the European Confederation of Flax and Hemp (CELC).
  • Both the filling and the fabric of our pillows are HYPOALLERGENIC. This fibre is made from recycled PET plastic, like that used in water bottles. By transforming this waste into a new resource, we reduce the production of virgin raw materials and the consumption of water, energy and natural resources.

Eco-friendly … what do you mean?

One of the important ways to create an eco-friendly environment is using 3 R’s

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

Let’s take a brief look at them

website 320

We reduce the amount of waste generated in the hotel as much as possible. We avoid using materials that are unfriendly to the environment.

towels

The simplest of all the 3 R’s, reuse is a common practice among every person. The reuse of linen (if the room has the same guests staying for a couple of days) is being encouraged.
·       We avoid plastic as much as possible
·       We go paperless where we can
We live in a digital era, where every kind of data can be stored on cloud servers. Moreover, it’s convenient, as you don’t need to maintain a pile of papers and can find any information with just a click of a button.
‘Go Digital’, is the motto that the hospitality industry should work on.

Recycle –recycling, is not only limited to plastic or glass. We also recycle fused bulbs, cans, cartons, and cartridges. Waste treatment is another alternative for materials that cannot be recycled.
